Eye Exam
Every eye exam is tailored to address the patient's reason for visiting.
The eye exam would typically consist of a refraction portion and disease
probing portion.
The refractive portion consists of:
- Determining the visual acuity, a measurement of how well the patient
can see.
- Eye movement testing, color testing, visual field testing and depth
perception testing.
- Phoropter to determine the patient's prescription.
- Contact lens fit testing if required.
The Ocular portion of the eye exams includes checking the health of the
eyes for:
- Cataracts
- Conjunctivitis
- Diabetes
- Dry eyes
- Glaucoma
- High blood pressure
- Macular degeneration
- Retinal Detachment
Contact Lens Examination:
- Fitting the patient with the right size and choice of contact lens
- Teaching the patient how to wear the contact lens for first-time wearers.
- Fitting the patient with a free trial pair of contact lens
- Free supply of contact lens solution
LASIK Consult and Co-management:
Martinez Eye Associates is affiliated with Lasik Vision Institute to
provide free consultation for LASIK candidates. We work in conjunction
with the ophthalmologist to offer pre pre-operative and post operative
care.
